Compared to more serious or complex competitors in the genre, PvZ2 never takes itself too seriously. Its personality, from the witty puns to the zombie designs, creates a uniquely joyful atmosphere that games like Bloons TD or Kingdom Rush don't quite match. The gameplay is easy to pick up but offers a strategic depth that rivals the best in the category, especially when you get into min-maxing sun economy and plant synergies in later levels.
